STUDY: Women Who Drink Wine Less Likely To Gain Weight

According to a new study, over the long run, women who are moderate drinkers gain less weight than those who don’t drink at all.
And, there’s a bonus for red wine drinkers. Researchers found that women who drank red wine gained the least amount of weight throughout their lifetimes — but there were positive results held for other wines, beers and booze.
Although alcohol contains calories, the researchers believe the women may have substituted it for other food.
