Big Boy on Hot 97

WQHT (97.1 FM) is replacing Miss Jones’ morning show with the nationally syndicated Big Boy show on July 21.
Miss Jones will remain on the air next week to say goodbye to her New York listeners. She is also a morning host in Philadelphia, near where she lives.
Big Boy and Liz Hernandez will run 7-10 a.m., preceded 5-7 a.m. by a local WQHT show hosted by Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg.
“Big Boy has an unmatched reputation for being entertaining,” said WQHT program director Ebro Darden. “He also has great relationships with artists.” -David Hinckley

anditisliz.com Friend of the Neighborhood & Dodger first baseman James Loney launched community initiative “Loney’s Lounge”. All in support of RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program. RBI Los Angeles fosters a love of baseball, and gives local kids the opportunity to play in an organized league. The event took place at the 1st Baseline Box Club where the kids had a chance to play Guitar Hero, and play everything from bowling to tennis on the Nintendo Wii.
Congrats to my friend James for putting together such a GREAT event for the kids! Big ups to Paul Wall for coming through to show support too! Click on DODGERS.COM for more info.

anditisliz.com I’m going to keep my recap brief because I feel in order to really capture what happen that night you have to log onto www.power106.com to see all the pictures and video footage!
Outside of the HUGE lineup and their surprise guest, the TRUE stars were YOU – the people who listen to Power 106 everyday. I went into crowd before the show started to meet as many people as possible. Thank you to everyone who said “hello” and asked for a picture. I was just as excited to meet you because I too can finally put a face to the people we talk to everyday.
I really hope everyone had a great time! Again, THANK YOU for showing Big Boy’s Neighborhood all that love. I can’t even begin to explain the feeling I felt when you see thousands of people in the crowd and they give you back so much affection.
PS- My biggest highlight of the night was seeing my proud parents in the 2nd row and catching my mom dancing to Ice Cube. Ha!
