Just as I was about to take off on the plane with my family to get away for awhile my phone rang. It was one of my best friends DJ Reflex.
He asked, “what you doing?” I said, “taking some vacation time in Mexico.” He said, ”sounds like fun.” I said, “you should try and fly out.” He said, “let me see if I can get a flight…”
Thank you Reflex for being such a good friend to me.

Good Morning. Discern your dominate contributions to your relationships. Are you the pursued or the pursuer? Are you the listener or the teacher? You must discern the irreplaceable part of a relationship. Is it loyalty, kindness or cheerfulness? What is the divine difference of that friendship? What can I find here that I have not found in anyone else? What is the mutual benefit? MOST IMPORTANTLY… What does God expect of me in my relationships?

Words of Wisdom: On Being Successful
Good morning. There was a little boy named Scott who once asked a wise old man what it took to be successful. The wise old man picked Scott up by the scruff of his neck and dunked him, head first, into a barrel filled with water. Scott was kicking and squirming with all he had, but the wise old man just kept him under water. After holding young Scott there for several minutes, and mere seconds before Scott passed out, the wise olf man released his hold on the young boy. As Scott began to catch his breath, he said, “ Hey, why did you go and do that? You must be out of your mind you could have killed me.” The wise old man just laughed and said, “You asked me what i t took to be successful? Well what was the one thing you wanted more than anything else when you were underwater? Young Scott said, “I wanted AIR!!” The wise old man said, Scott when you want SUCCESS just as much as you wanted that air, you’ll have it.” Question? How bad do you want success?

Words of Wisdom: I’m a champion… What are you?
Good morning. A champion is someone who wins a lot. A champion is someone who realizes that the reality of defeat, humiliation, and pain exists but refuses to be held back by fear. A champion is someone who is resilient, someone who has been knocked down in life, and possibly by life, but gets back up again….. After Fred Astaire’s first screen test in 1933, a memo from a MGM testing director said, “Can’t act. Slightly bald. Can dance a little.” Its reported that the legendary Fred Astaire kept that memo over the fireplace in his Beverly Hills home. Stay focused… God is on your side!

Every time Kanye does an interview or opens his mouth to talk he makes me appreciate him more and more. He makes you realize the importance of being comfortable in your own skin. Mostly, he inspires me… he makes me want to do better radio. To not be afraid to just open up and share who you are. We really are all so similiar despite our cultures, genders, etc. and we go through the same things in life. We share the same fears, happiness and saddness. In my eyes, this man is an amazing artist and individual.
Kanye says: “I didn’t do any interviews after my mom passed. I wasn’t ready to speak about it… Now I’d rather talk it through than commit suicide. I’m super devastated. I feel like I moved to California, then my mom moved to California, and she did stuff she wouldn’t have done if we’d stayed in Chicago. If I’d never made it in the music business, it never would’ve happened.”
Kanye says: “I want to have kids. But I want to have the right girl too — someone who really cares about me. When I’m in a club, girls are super-calculating, planning every step. It’s lonely at the top. Losing my mom, having no woman in my life to support me — I feel like I’m on my own and can only express it through my music.”
